Kent driver Aaron Steele will take part in the official Formula 2 test at Barcelona later this month.

Steele, 22, a former McLaren AUTOSPORT BRDC Award finalist, will test as part of his prize for winning the MSV F3 Cup this year.

“It’s getting very exciting because the test is getting ever closer day-by-day,” he said.

“We have had the seat fitting now and I have been talked through all the controls on the car. I just can’t wait for it to happen now. Barcelona will be fantastic as I have seen it on [TV] for Formula 1 many times.”

“The target is to be quick and really stamp my authority on the test and send out a good message,” he added.

The two-day Barcelona test takes place on December 13-14.
